USMLE Step 1 Review Program

Solidaridad Sin Fronteras offers a comprehensive preparation program for the USMLE Step 1 exam, designed for internationally trained physicians undergoing the credential validation process in the United States.

It is important to note that the certificate issued by SSF does not replace or equate to the official USMLE Step 1 exam. To advance in the licensure process, participants must register for and pass the official exam administered by the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).

Our program is delivered 100% online and includes classes, study resources, and simulations designed to reinforce basic sciences and strengthen the analytical skills necessary to successfully pass Step 1.

Upon completion, participants receive personalized, step-by-step guidance to properly register within the official ECFMG system and schedule their exam at an authorized testing center of their choice.

Participant Activities – USMLE Step 1 Program

Participants in the USMLE Step 1 preparation program by Solidaridad Sin Fronteras engage in a series of activities designed to strengthen academic performance and prepare them for the official exam. These include:

Structured study of basic sciences (anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, pathology, among others)
Review of USMLE-style questions with detailed answer analysis and clinical reasoning
Weekly virtual classes focused on high-yield exam topics
Access to complementary digital resources such as question banks, practice exams, and study guides
Periodic evaluations to measure individual progress and reinforce weak areas

Process

This is a virtual program consisting of one weekly class over a period of 6 months. The classes are designed to prepare students in the theoretical content required to take the USMLE Step 1, the first exam in the medical licensure process in the United States.

The course content covers basic sciences such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, and pathology, among other key areas evaluated on the exam.

The USMLE Step 1 exam is a fully theoretical exam conducted in English and administered at authorized testing centers such as Prometric. It does not include a practical component but requires strong clinical reasoning applied to complex medical scenarios.
